The Vermont Outdoor Fire Pit stands out from other fire pits because it features a rustic weathered-wood look exterior. It’s warm, natural feel along with neutral coloring make it a great addition to any woodsy backyard.
It doesn’t offer lots of tabletop space to set plates and dishes. However, the Vermont’s unique styling definitely make it an eye-catching centerpiece on any deck or patio.
A Fire Pit Table Made of Magnesium Oxide?
The faux wood look of this fire pit table is courtesy of magnesium oxide, or MgO board. Yes, you can turn on your fire pit and enjoy flickering flames in the lava rock bed without your table burning up. =)
MgO Board is a type of mineral cement that can be used in a wide variety of applications due to its beneficial characteristics. These include fire resistance, strength, resistance to mold and mildew and the ability to stand up to the outdoor elements.
These features, of course, work well in a fire pit table. The downside may be that this table is extra heavy. It weighs in at about 140 lbs. That said, it’s not going anywhere if you get a big gust of wind.

My Thoughts…
The Vermont Outdoor Fire Pit Table doesn’t provide much tabletop space, nor does it include a fire bowl cover. The table is not ideal for serving dinner to 4+ guests or playing games after dinner is over.
That said, if you like the weathered, rustic wood-look design – I think this table is well-priced at about $500. Plus, you don’t have to pay for shipping or carry the 140-lb table out of the store…
